Climate Mobility Alliance (CMA)
Climate Mobility Alliance (CMA) is a Somalia-focused non-governmental organization created around a simple reality: climate shocks increasingly shape where people can live, how they earn a living, and whether communities can remain safely in place.
CMA works to help climate-vulnerable people anticipate shocks, adapt livelihoods, move safely when movement is unavoidable, and pursue dignified, durable solutions.
Our Strategic Positioning
CMA connects immediate humanitarian needs with longer-term climate resilience and development. Rather than treating adaptation, displacement, livelihoods, protection and environmental sustainability as separate issues, CMA takes a mobility-sensitive approach that recognizes the interaction of drought, floods, environmental degradation, conflict and economic stress.
Our Commitment
CMA places affected communities at the centre of its work, with particular attention to women, youth, persons with disabilities, displaced people, returnees and vulnerable host communities. Through locally led planning, accountable delivery and partnerships, CMA aims to advance safer and more inclusive futures across Somalia.
